The blankets soft and furry and a nice heavy one. it has cooler settings than most. my last one was too hot even on the liw setting.It has a nice comfortable backing material. Its not a cheap blanket. Its luxurious! And I barely notice the wires at all. I have to feel for them. I tried several electric blankets this year. And this is the best!!! Well worth the money. My cat loves it too!
