Trans-Dapt oil filter relocation systems allow you to relocate your oil filter to a more accessible location in your engine compartment for quicker and easier oil changes. Our double filter units take the concept one step further by providing an additional quart of oil to keep oil temperatures lower, and doubling the filtering surface to improve filtering capabilities. Each kit comes with a dual remote mounting base, oil filter bypass adapter, nipples, mounting hardware and hoses. Not for race, diesel or marine use.

Decent kit, but still lacking.

I purchased this kit, like many others, to avoid the hassle of oil changes in hard to reach places. Especially on cars with big motors and big headers. Overall, I'm pleased with the install. The dual remote filter relocation kit adds additional capacity to your existing system, and makes changing the oil a breeze. The filter bracket is a cast piece, and there are areas where some flash still exists from the manufacturing process. There is also room for improvement in certain areas regarding the path oil flows through the piece. In some areas, holes are offset to the point where it looks like fllw would be restricted. If you own this, then you know what I mean. More care could have been taken to avoid this problem. It's nothing a drill press and a dremel tool can't fix. My biggest issue with this kit is the hoses that come standard with it. They are plain rubber, and will likely be too short for your application unless you are one of the lucky few. I didn't feel comfortable running rubber hose around header pipes, so I ordered some braided SS hose and AN fitting to really do the job right. Anticipate dropping another $100 or so after you purchase this kit to buy the stuff that should have come with it in the first place. Granted, they would likely charge more for it, but at least it would be high quality, and include everything you really need.
