Does NOT need box spring. Pictures available by me
I was so happy when we rcvd it. My high school age som was super happy. If uou looking to purchase this amazing bed please do not waste your time buying a box spring you wont need it. This has several things that get assembled under the matress for firmness. If this will be used by 2 people and you r concern is the weight, purchase a thin like a 2-3 inch box sping. If you use a bigger one omg it wiññ be too high up this bed was built for only a matresss and it has enough to secure weight. I am so happy this is a firm bed oh and by the way when you rcv your shipment dont get scared the parts are inside the headboard and YES it all fits inside and this is amazingly easy pizzy to assemble. If you concider purchasing hope you are as happy as we are ð¤
