Saut over medium heat until vermicelli is golden brown, stirring frequently.2. Slowly stir in water and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil.3. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender.3 cups prepared. Enjoy! Microwave DirectionsIn 2-quart microwavable bowl, combine rice-vermicelli mix and 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine. Microwave uncovered at High 1 minute. Stir. Microwave at High 12 more minutes or until vermicelli is golden brown. Remove and stir in 3 cups water and Special Seasonings. Microwave uncovered, at High 1720 minutes or until rice is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed.

I love all the rice a roni pasta meals. I always brown the rice in some butter as they suggest because browning it cha ranges the taste. You can however eat it just by adding it to water or chicken broth as well it's a great side dish or you can just eat it as a full meal by adding fully baked chicken (breast) chopped to your size and taste with some garlic bread and a side salad
