I am not a transformer collector, so if you need brand name, this was not. However, I think it has really cool details and quite frankly seems MUCH better made than the brand name ones I have bought over the years. My child loves transformers and says this one is by far the best quality he's had. It was pretty pricey, but I suppose that is not unusual for these toys. I'm just glad it isn't junky for the price
