Indoor outdoor table tennis top arrived damaged

The tabletop is supposed to be indoor and outdoor usable. The shipping was so bad that it chipped the both ends of the table tennis top. I really don't want to return the tabletop because it will go straight to the landfill making more trash. And now we know the tennis tabletop cannot be used outdoors under protected roofing during the summer due to the ability of moisture absorbing through the two corners at opposite ends that are damaged. I would like a discount so that payment can go to someone to properly seal both ends of the table.
