Well Made Hoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nisaku Half Moon Hoe is super great for gardening and working around the lawn. The sharp blade cuts through weeds to sift soil and make weeding so much easier. I used this tool prior to planting sunflower seeds in the front lawn and it worked so well to create a nice new feel for sifted topsoil. The long wood handle reaches the ground easily, keeping my back safe while working in the yard.

Japanese Stainless Steel Semi-Long Half Moon Hoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nisaku Stainless Steel Hoe is an excellent addition to anyone's collection of outdoor tools. Made from stainless steel, the blade is durable and strong to withstand heavy use. This tough tool is great for gardeners and landscapers alike because it's stainless steel blade is durable and sharp. It is highly effective in cutting through weeds, soil, and more. With this Japanese hoe, I can make short work of weeding, planting bulbs, large seeds, and hilling up the soil. This hoe does NOT have a full length handle. The wooden handle is about 41" long (as opposed to 57"-60" in a full-size hoe. The diameter of the handle is about 5/8," which makes it smaller and lighter than its full-sized American cousin. And that small size and light weight is what makes it perfect for performing the tasks for which it was designed. The business end of the hoe is stainless steel, and the edge is razor sharp, which makes cutting weeds off below ground level a snap. The entire tool weighs in at 16.5 ounces (1 lb plus half an ounce). There is a reason it is this diminutive. The hoe is designed to be wielded one handed. This is NOT a large, heavy, long-handled, Western-style hoe. Using it two handed would defeat the purpose. This tool works better as a long handle sickle-weeder than as a hoe because of the very, very sharp and well designed stainless steel cutting head and its hard, but light weight wood handle. One doesn't have to bend over the weeds in order to cut them. And, because it is not heavy, it can be a real back-saver. This tool, for sure, is the weeds' worse enemy.

Love this garden tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the fact that the hoe has a sharp edge that allows you to get weeds out of your garden and cut to the root of the weed. It is the perfect length and is not heavy at all. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. It is a great tool to add to your gardening lineup.
