The HTT45 Tension Tie is USP's newest addition to our line of tension ties. It provides two different load carrying capacities by utilizing a diamond hole max nailing pattern. Fully tested to the latest standards, the HTT45's high load carrying capacity exceeds the hold-down connection requirements for alternate braced wall construction. The body is made of 10-gauge ASTM A653 galvanized steel, and the washer is made of 3-gauge ASTM A36 steel.
Feature - Use all specified fasteners (one 5/8 in. anchor bolt for both Min and Max Nailing and eighteen 10d or 16d x 2-1/2 in. nails (Min Nailing) or twenty six 10d or 16d x 2-1/2 in. nails Max Nailing)
- Not for use with treated lumber
- Installs above the sill plate (recommended maximum height 18 in.)
- Easily installs as a retrofit tie to reinforce existing post and shear wall connections
- Fully integrated 3-gauge washer provides positive load transfer to wood framing members
- No pre-drilling required
- When installed with a USP STB series 5/8 in. anchor bolt, the HTT45 Tension Tie becomes part of a fully-tested and structurally rated system
