No stripping; defines curls; lathers quickly!

I was looking for a clarifying shampoo that wouldn't strip my low porosity, protein sensitive hair. This lathered immediately, and my 4c coils were beautifully defined and still moisturized upon rinsing out. It paired very well with my California naturals hair mask (unlike the Camille rose ginger rinse, which left a film on my hair that prevented my hair from absorbing my hair mask). I used the enrichure flaxseed-based detangling prepoo before this shampoo, and they were also a great pair. I will say that the viscosity is too thick to come out of the top easily (similar to the ginger rinse), so I removed the top and poured the shampoo into my hands directly. Despite this minor packaging flaw, I highly recommend this as a clarifying shampoo . If deciding between this and the ginger rinse, I'd recommend the ginger rinse for a moisturizing and detangling shampoo (as long as your conditioner is compatible), and the cleansing rinse for a moisturizing and clarifying shampoo (especially if you have a Shea butter-based deep conditioner; it doesn't have as much slip as the ginger rinse though).

It's good but it's not GREAT

This new clarifying shampoo is good but the lather is not the best. I had to wash my hair with this 3 times to get a lather that I was satisfied with. I'm not sure if it's because I had just did an oil treatment but I have other clarifying shampoos that clean with less work. I've also used their ginger cleanser (which used to be marketed as a gentle clarifying shampoo as well) and I believe that one also has a better lather than this one. I will compare them in the future but I do plan to keep using this since I don't waste product. Moving forward however, I don't think I would restock it. I may just stick with the L'Oréal sulfate free clarifying shampoo. We will see when I get to the end of the bottle.
