Buckle up, this is going to be a somewhat long ride. In my own experience, I will say this loft bed surpassed my expectation, it is the most value for money loft bed out of all I found after intensive research. The quality is excellent and it is sturdy enough to not need anchoring at all. To be honest, the assembly was a PITA, and it took many hours, there's like a million parts and hardware; however, this is not the brand's or the product's fault, it is by design; and it is structurally solid. I did find the instructions were straightforward, but don't have detailed instructions written out (spelled out), everything is visual, diagrams and pictures; therefore, don't expect them to hold you by your hand while you follow them. You have to make an effort and carefully inspect the 3D diagrams, they are extremely detailed and accurate, but not too easy to follow for an inexperienced DIY. This is specially important because each part is designed to be precisely put together in a certain way, facing in a certain direction, and the diagram shows you how, and if you put one part wrongly, you might have to start over after hours of partial assembly; it is a little unforgiven. So careful consideration must be giving. Most people get frustrated because of this, but it is not the manual's fault. People complaining some holes are bigger than the washer, they didn't inspect the diagram, it is designed that way, they have to be recessed, they are not meant for you to get a bigger washer for the hole, they are supposed to drive the screw through the big hole to tighten into the smaller hole inside the tube, because later on in the assembly another part is going to go through that hollow section and if you block it with a bigger washer, the other part won't line up or fit where it is supposed to go, just keep screwing, let the big hole swallow the screw, it will still screw through the inside part of the frame. I'd say a big part of the bad reviews are user errors, regular people that didn't know what they were getting into with this assembly. Not their fault, not the brand or product's fault. Word of advice, this is a tough and challenging assembly but rewarding at the end if you are up to the task. If you though this was going to be a walk in the park, know what your getting into and hire a professional installer. If you consider yourself proficient in this things, give it a go and you won't be disappointed. I'm thoroughly impressed, that's why I decided to write this extensive review. If you got this far, here's an extra tip: don't tighten completely everything as you go, leave some wiggle room to help the pieces fall into place and then tighten a little more, you'll have time to tighten everything up once finished with the installation.
