I got this for my husband to use to make cube steaks from tougher hamburger meat, and he just LOVES it ! He says it is easy to use, and it will work with tougher cuts of meat like round steak, or even a roast if you cut it to thinner slices first and it is boneless. The pictures show a chuck roast that he cut into quarters and then sliced it into a thinness that the machine would accept. This is a great way to make these cuts of meat into something that does not require long cooking in a crockpot to become tender enough to eat.
