Color is photos with slight variations

You won’t know what actual shade of brown it is until you receive it since the photos show variants. The truest color when review pics against the rug is the close up of the rolled rug. It’s more of a taupe brown the rug came rolled and folded in box. It unrolled well and being soft wool there were no issues with lines or lying flat. Overall I am pleased but the color variations in pics may throw some buyers off. It has a minor smell but I’m going to toss some baking soda on it for 15 min and vacuum. I’m sure over time it will dissipate.

Looks like an outdoor rug

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this rug in the photos but in person it looks and feels like an inexpensive outdoor jute rug. The color is very blah and not as warm as in the photos, and the wool is very scratchy - so much so I double checked the composition details as I had a hard time believing it was in fact wool. I sent it back.
