Good value, easy to use and gets the job done

This does the job well in punching through tough, hard soil or sod and slicing through moderately-sized root growth underneath. I needed it to dig through a grass border to put in bedding plants and the serrated edges on either side of the tool make it much easier in the planting process. The handle is ergonomic and shape of the blade is unobtrusive, making the tool a good one for use while bending or sitting down. This tool will not slice through thick tree roots, but the feeder roots were easily dispatched with it and it should easily work on most weed growth above and below ground.
