Black Oil, born as a political groove metal band originally from Brazil, are no strangers to sharing the stage with big acts like MEGADETH, FEAR FACTORY and SLIPKNOT and have been direct support for bands like SOULFLY, OTEP, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, ARCH ENEMY, CARNIFEX, ANTHRAX, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ASESINO and many more. Their original sound comes from a unique blend of cultures and years of experience. Guitarist and founder, Addasi Addasi has traveled well over thirty countries, picking up many styles and riffs along the way. All these cultures mix together to form very powerful political metal. Vocalist Mike Black brings his own originality with guttural growls and a defiant yell heavily influenced by the voices of Cavalera and Anselmo, yet retaining an originality that gives the band it's own signature sound.
