This is a great lens, the 6 year warranty is good, the lens performs as stated. Mine is making a small sound like something spinning inside for a few seconds after focus lock, so I'm not sure if that's a problem or not, everything functions fine, but I'm going to contact Walmart and see about the warranty on this lens

Above and beyond

Pros: Solid feel, Excellent Value Cons: Weak Macro, No case included Other thoughts: This lens is an excellent value. My four star rating is only because it can get better if you're willing to triple the price. The Good: Price, features, high quality glass and build for this level of lens. It feels just as solid as the Nikon plastic lenses. The Bad: The ED glass that Tamron uses (and all ED glass for that matter) can have focal length variations at different temperatures. Shooting in very hot or very cold climate may require manual focus to really get it perfectly sharp. Sharpness also suffers slightly while the VC is turned on, but it's sharper than you'd get with a non VC lens while hand held in low lighting. Just remember to turn off the VC when you go to a tripod or bright lighting for best results.
