this is claimed to be yixing purple clay, considered best pot material in china. My grandpa got a Yixing tea pot and I always want one. it looks like genuine and good price for material. I already used it for brewing loose tea and traditional medicine herb and also making sushi rice and slow roast pork. all comes out good. light weight, easy to clean and donot take space to store. have to handle with care but more durable than glass pot. plan to buy another one as gift to my mom.
