To ensure simple installation, our ignition coils are designed for both equipment and replacement applications. HOW SHOULD YOU REPLACE IGNITION COILS? STEP1: Your battery's negative terminal should be disconnected. To prevent the cable from unintentionally making touch with the battery terminal again while you are working, tuck it down to the side of the battery. STEP2: Each cable entering the coil should be cut off. Remove the clasp holding the plug that enters the coil's side. STEP3: Use a wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the coil in place. Take the coil out of the engine compartment. STEP4: Before inserting the coil, compare it to the old one. Verify the number of ports for the ignition cables on the replacement coil is the same. STEP5: The new coil should be oriented in the same direction as the old one. To secure the coil, insert the bolts. STEP6: The new ignition coil's port for the plug should be inserted. Into the coil, insert each ignition cord. STEP7: Replug the batteries in. (When you attach the negative cable to the terminal, use caution.) To test the new coil, start the car.
