If we could give half-star reviews I would have given it 2.5 stars. I really like the look of this desk online, but it is definitely not without its flaws. The images for the white version are not accurate to the color. The wood grain is a darker gray-brown kind of similar to rabbit fur. Not a lighting or monitor issue, it's genuinely a different color. The color was the main reason I bought this desk, so that was unfortunate. It also took me over 3 hours to get it together. I assemble all my own furniture and have for years, and from past experience it shouldn't have taken more than half that, at most. The extra time was because the instructions are hard to follow and some steps are straight up wrong, telling you to put fasteners where screws go (I eventually stopped looking at the illustrations and just guessed where things went based on hole size), or to assemble the shelves in such a way that they wind up being upside-down, which isn't apparent until the desk is complete (so you have to take everything back apart if you want to fix it). Some of the pre-drilled holes are also mis-aligned. Part of the back cracked when I got the top on because the hole for one of the fasteners was off by almost a full quarter inch. For all its flaws, once I got it assembled it turned out to be extremely sturdy. For the purpose of being a functional desk it is absolutely up to the task, and much sturdier than some of the more expensive desks I've seen that only seem designed to support the weight of a laptop and little else. It's unfortunate that it has the issues it has, because it's a good product, and could be a great product if it just had some better quality control. As it is, I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone due to the difficulty I had assembling it, but it could still be a good choice if you have the patience to make it work. It's sturdy enough that I expect it will last a good long time.
