Fill it with eggs for deviled eggs or egg salad. Boil, pull them all out at once, dunk in ice water; no tongs needed. Put your pasta in it and lower it into the water, then just pull it out. Easy as pie. Fill it with your summer produce and parboil without effort, Then just dunk it in the ice water. This is what I wanted it for, and it was so easy.
