Kelly Scott in Blood of my Blood tells a tale about a struggling single mother and her family. Kelly Scott expertly details some of the real-life challenges a parent faces when raising children, especially when their circumstances are less than ideal. It's intriguing how he fleshed out the struggle of having siblings and sharing the same space with them; many people can relate to this situation. This book was mostly narrated from Tommy's point of view. It was filled with suspense, crime, mystery, and violence and shed light on how childlike innocence can be tainted by the circumstances of life.
