People complain too much, this popper works GREAT

I disagree with most of the reviews on here. It's just a basic popcorn maker and it works FINE! All you need is a scoop and a half with the lil scooper (butter melter) on top a large bowl and your good to go! Very few unpopped kernels. I do not know what some of the reviewers were expecting, it's just popcorn lol. I use it at least once a week!

Really Good Popper (if you follow the directions)

Many negative reviewers here on this product perhaps have missed the boat by not reading the manufacturer's directions supplied with the Rival. If you put the right amount of corn in the hopper, as directed, you will have a decent amount of popcorn with very few kernals unpopped. This unit is designed to work with a properly filled hopper of kernals not just a few teaspoons. I popped my first batch by filling the measuring cup almost to the brim. After consuming most of the corn, I counted 14 kernals that were unpopped in the bowl and 9 unpopped remaining in the hopper. I'd say this is pretty good for a first pop in any machine air or wet. Certainly better than the wet method. Super easy clean-up, the popcorn produced is heathier and to me taste better than I thought. Pop time was about 1.5 minutes to completion. Can you buy a better machine? Possibly, but this one works just fine for -$.
