tough tire

Used on work truck on pipeline where the going is tough and at times your truck is pulled with a dozer or hoe, hills steep enough that stuff flies off the dash or you can't see the bottom of the hill till you are there, these tires were more abused than used, they surprised the heck out of me (from firestone????), will buy again

Hands down the best all around tire I've ever owned

I purchased a set of 285/70R17's in 2009. I live in Southern Ontario and frequent snow belt areas in the winter. I ran these all year round until 2013 when at about 70,000km they just didn't have the bite in the snow I wanted for towing and since I often find myself in unplowed lots I elected to put a set of winter tires on. In Dec 2015 i swapped them out for my winters for what might be the final time. They now have 116,500km on them and are almost at the wear bars. The week before these came off I towed a 28ft travel trailer out of the bush and up a steep gravel grade without one tire slipping. These tires have done several 500km + trips with 1500lb or more loads in the box and either a travel trailer or sleds in tow. I wouldn't hesitate to install these on another vehicle.

Good tires/service

I'd like to say my local tire dealer , capital tire / a1 tire in Rhode Island had recommended the Firestone tradnfoces a.t.,s 5 years ago and I got my money's worth out the tires , I went back 2 months ago and they had the Firestone destinations, and they were the best tires I've ever put on my truck in 18 years ! I'd like to say thank you to a,1 tire and there staff and to Firestone for making a great overall tire for my truck !
