A Balanced Mix of Flavors

I am not a huge meat person, but do enjoy bbq once in a while. This McCormick Sweet & Smoky Rub gave me an excuse to try out some grilling. We tried it on chicken and ribs. To my surprise everyone, including myself, loved it! It had a good blend of sweet and smoky. Neither of the flavors are overbearing and the sweetness didn't make it feel like we were eating meat covered in sugar. It was a nice balance. I'm excited to try this on other items now.

Nice rub

The McCormick Grill Mates Sweet & Smoky Rub has a very nice flavor to it. Not to sweet and the perfect smokey flavor. You can use this rub on all kinds of meat. I personally used it on Tbone steaks & some chicken breasts. I really appreciate how it locked in moisture to the meat while providing bursts of flavor. Both types of meat I grilled was so tender. Absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying it! I got to test the McCormick Grill Mates Sweet & Smoky rub for free through Bzz Agent.

Fantastic alone or Improves any BBQ Sauce

I received the Grill Mates Sweet & Smoky Rub at no charge in return for my honest review. I am typically not a "sweet meat' fan, however this rub truly is a fantastic blend of sweet & smoky. Neither aspect is overbearing, and the balance using the rub without any additional sauce was perfect for me. Those looking for something sweeter will want to baste their meat with their preferred bbq sauce on top of the rub. Great weeknight flavor with very minimal effort.
