Gave this as a gift to our 5 yr old grandson. I didn't realize that you can buy separate boxes that when putting all the boxes together create a city. Luckily for me I purchased the right one. Although he cannot read, the picture directions are easy to follow and with little help had it put together.

Son adored racer - more than I expected!

Much bigger than I expected - WAY more pieces! Not that large kits ever stopped my 7yo. The rubber bands gave me a bit of grief when I tried to put them on the shocks, both went flying across the living room, but I was able to get them on the second time without any trouble. This was an amazingly complex and large kit for the price. Well done!

it's okay

it is what you see when looking at the box. it is not small, but it isn't huge either. my son plays with 5 inch action figures with it. it is easy to build. he did it w/o our help and he just turned 7. he has also done slightly more difficult ones in the past, so he may not be considered a beginner. unless your kid just likes motorcycles or this is one of his first builds, it may be too easy beyond that 7 year old recommended age.
