Assembly was pretty straight forward. It seems very sturdy but make sure you pay attention to the depth of the mattresses you purchase for it. Mine are a little too thick so the trundle is hard to pull out.

Sturdy and functional bed trundle.

This bed has some nice extra features such as a higher weight limit. 2 retractable side tables, LED light, charging outlet the trundle can be elevated to the same height as the twin bed. I wasn't sure about the color of the ‘wood' but it actually looks okay. It took my daughter and I about 3 hours total to assemble as there are lots of pieces and screws. No one has slept on it yet but it looks nice and sturdy.
