Hone the knife before you use it every time is the secret behind keeping a sharp knife, it's more faster and more efficient working with a sharp knife. Your kitchen couldn't without our superior knife sharpening steel!
Difference between the knife rod(honing stick) and whetstone？
Remove the metal from the blade when you sharpen your knives in whetstone, but the knife rod doesn't.
Using the honing steel once a week or every day, but only once a year is enough for whetstone for most home cooking.
How to hone a blunt knife:
Method : Hold the steel rod in one hand and place it's tip by vertically in the solid surface, grip the knife handle in the other hand, then draw full length of the blade down the steel at an approximate 15-20 degree, repeat 8-10 times in each side.

USEFUL TIPS:
- 1. keep the honing angle of 15-20 degree
- 2. from the blade's heel to its tip
- 3. apply with light pressure
Maintenance:
Wipe clean with a dry cloth and keep dry after use，please avoid putting it in the dishwasher or washing it with water.
