The best globe ever

A quick story about this globe. My grandmother bought this exact globe almost 50 years ago as a present to herself. It has stayed clear, no water evaporated, hardly any discoloration for all those years and moves. Two weeks ago she showed us the globe and was sadden that the black base finally cracked.
