I bought this mat to keep the multifunction gym equipment from damaging the hardwood floors in my home gym. I also bought the treadmill mat of the same brand. When comparing high-density foam mats against recycled rubber mats, I learned that the oils resident in recycled rubber tends to transfer onto the underneath flooring and can cause permanent staining. I am very pleased with both the foam mats I purchased.
