The product came with a few pieces of MDF board already damaged, but since it wasn't in the most noticeable places- I went ahead and put it together. The instructions included had absolutely zero words- only photos, and it admittedly took me a few tries to get a few pieces on correctly since the photos did not show multiple angles. The back is cardboard (similar to cheaper bookshelves) that is flimsily attached with finishing nails. I dug out some finishing nails of my own to try to make it sturdier. This will fit a small to medium sized litter box, so it is best for kittens, or smaller cats. I'm still giving it three stars because you simply can not beat the price, or shipping date. It arrived in only a day, with free shipping! I desperately needed something to keep little hands from exploring the cat litter, and this did the intended job.
