I was really surprised when this arrived at how small the handles were. They looked like your hand would fit in there but in reality only two to three fingers fit. Very small but still was not a big deal for me. The thing that I really didn't like is that the blade keeps getting "hung up" when you move it back and forth. It definitely cuts but after two or three pulls it gets "caught" and won't release to continue. You have to take the blade off by hand and start over for another two or three pulls until it gets hung up again. This is not something that I would use on a regular basis and cheap enough that I just kept them but if I had a big job to do, I would invest in the PVC cutter. This was a once off and ended up not even needing them. I'm sure I would have been swearing by the time I was done if I would have had to use them to accomplish the cut I needed. Do they work? Yes. But do they work well? No. So for that reason I would not recommend them.
