So first things first — don't let the "boyshort" name fool you. These are more of a regular underwear fit than an actual boyshort style, so just keep that in mind going in. The padding inside isn't thick at all, but it does run long which is actually really nice for preventing leakage and keeping you covered where it counts. That said, if you have super heavy periods like me, these probably won't cut it on their own. The absorbency is decent for lighter days but I personally can't picture myself relying on these when things get heavy. And honestly? The idea of washing and reusing period underwear is just a little icky for me — totally a personal thing, but it's worth mentioning if you're on the fence. That said, I do think it's a genuinely great concept for reducing waste and saving money in the long run. If you have a lighter flow or are eco-conscious, these could really work for you!

My first impression of these were how soft and thin the underwear is. Then I noticed how stiff and thick the padded part was. I think this is because they are brand new and as you wear them and wash them I’m sure it will become less stiff. But as of now, I wouldn’t want to wear these all day, but I’d wear them at night. The fit was a little tight, but maybe that’s to help keep everything secure and in place. The coverage was full and I felt secure wearing them. Overall, the thick pad is a little uncomfortable, but I think for sleeping these would be more comfortable than a regular pad or tampon.
