Weight/load limits are maximum static load limits, with spring clip closed. Carabiners (snap hooks) are not load rated certified and are not rated/certified for climbing. We always encourage our clients to test them out for their own unique applications. Static loads do not account for any load impact/impulse. Also, if the carabiners are used outdoors or begin corroding (rusting) the strength may degrade and the carabiners should be replaced with new ones. To be cautious, use the carabiners at 20% below the maximum load shown.
