May be alright for a kid

I decided to purchase one of these for my husband who had been wanting a telescope. We were both excited about it until we began looking at what it had to offer and that is not much. Everything seems to be here that you need, but the quality is not all that great. What sold me on it was the Vivitar name, but this does not live up to what Vivitar was in the past. We were very disappointed and returned it.

BUYER BEWARE!

First off, the only thing that's metal is the middle part and some of the base but everything else is cheap plastic. Second the optics are so poor that all I could see was a blur when attempting to view some included slides. In short this microscope is totally useless, I would rather spend a little extra for a decent childrens microscope. The only thing positive about this item is the returns policy is good for 30 days.
