Really nice pants

These are really nice, IMO. They're I think a little lighter weight than the normal Legendaries. They appear to be industrial washed (I thought they might be linen blend at first) and overdyed. So you get thick blue-overdyed green stripes with some greener areas, and thinner mint green stripes. The artist pockets are a unique utility design (one front open hip and one with snaps). The mint green hardware looks neat, though I question how long the coating will last. It's too bad the snaps aren't also green, but if the alternative was plastic snaps then it's a happy tradeoff. YKK zipper, 100% cotton, not obnoxious branding, there really is not much to complain about, initially. On the negatives... obviously they're pricey, but you could always industrial wash and dye your own RR stripe pants, I guess? If you're not fairly tall you will probably need to get these hemmed (they're too floppy to cuff without maybe doing a tuck or pinning). And the left art supply pocket is for some reason stitched through the pocket bag of the normal pocket, so there is a pinch point near the front edge of the pocket. I guess without it the pocket get saggy? Also these are probably better suited to leisure wear vs work wear -- it's not that they're flimsy, but they seemed to be industrial washed and somewhat lighter weight. Maybe if you're not doing anything repetitive and strenuous. I purchased a size 38 and the waist laid relaxed on a table is almost 40-40.5". They looked capable of stretching to around 42". The rise is medium. If you're wearing these with the matching coat, it almost looks like a leisure suit. I'm still not sure how I feel about the big leather patch on the center back of the coat though. Too much external branding for my tastes.
