I wasn't expecting the dark color of this shampoo and was taken aback when I first pumped it into my hand. At first I feared it might stain the tub, but I am careful to make sure I rinse it well when I am done. So far no stains. It leaves my hair soft and smooth. Other than the unexpected color and extra work to rinse away the color tinged residue, I am loving this shampoo.
