Vacuum or sweep your area rug regularly. This will avoid dirt from getting deep into your area rug’s fibers. It is also advised to sweep under your area rug in order to prevent damage from mildew or mold. Hosing your area rug is a cleaning option. To hose the whole area down, spray the area rug off using a garden hose and allow it to dry under the sun. Turn the area rug over to make it possible for the other side to dry, if required. Be sure the entire area rug is dry before placing it back down (especially in the home), as mold or mildew can form in wet areas. While your outdoor area rug is suitable for outdoor/indoor use, it is strongly recommended that you store your area rug indoors during severe or prolonged weather conditions.

Just what I was looking for!
I recently purchased a Couristan Recife Garden Lattice Indoor/Outdoor area rug in tan and green. It has exceeded my expectations in every way! The color is perfect in my open air porch looking out on the 9th green! Living in South FL with lots of heat, humidity and frequent rainy days, it is just what the doctor ordered. It handles the weather and it reduces the slip hazard on the exposed tile floor when dampness is an issue. Adds a nice finishing touch to the space.

Delightful for our Deck
Nice quality, great color that compliments our composite decking. We wanted an outdoor carpet since the deck gets so hot. This rug did the trick. It also stays down nicely with no upturned corners. It is raining now so I am anxious to see how it will dry afterwards but doesn't look like it will be a problem. Delivery was two days earlier than expected.

If you are looking for a specific style and/or size of an outdoor rug, I highly recommend this site as the availability in stores is not that great. My rug is exactly the style and size that I needed[...] It looks beautiful with my new furniture and is easy to vacuum.
