Classic taste and quality, though I lean toward the high-protein version. Barilla's classic penne pasta cooks evenly and holds sauce beautifully, just like you'd expect from this brand. The texture stays firm and consistent, making it a reliable choice for quick meals or pasta salads. That said, I personally prefer Barilla's High Protein variety for the extra nutrition, but this original version is still excellent quality and dependable every time. Helpful Insight: For the best al dente texture, cook it about a minute less than the box recommends — it finishes perfectly once mixed with hot sauce or ingredients.
