I have 2 barstools that I decided to move out onto our patio full-time, but the cushions needed to be re-covered. I had some material already picked out to recover the cushions, but it was not water-resistant or waterproof, so the vinyl was for that purpose. It was very easy to use, ironed on very well to the fabric, and it stood up well to being wrapped around the seat itself and affixed with upholstery nails underneath. No rips or anything. It seemed to stretch enough with the weight of someone sitting on it, and after a few minutes, you couldn't tell that someone had just been sitting there. I do not know what would have happened if there had been a seam on the cushion, if rain water would have seeped in or if I would have had to overlap the vinyl. But for this project, I was happy that I found this type of vinyl and it has made me happy.

Heat'nBond a satisfactory product.

I laminated our arm covers for our couch with this product. I found that the product was good but not really easy to use. It took quite some time effort to get it ironed on on medium heat using a pressing cloth and Iwas unable to get it to fuse completely in all areas. I would not use this on a premade item. I would use it again but only on a flat piece of fabric BEFORE sewing it into an item I was sewing. I am sure it would work fine that way. Iexpected the feel of the vinyl after fusing to be more plyable but it has a crinkly feel not like regular vinyl fabric. However I was pleased with the application because I put it on the arm covers to stop the cat from clawing at them and it worked she did not like the feel of the vinyl and leaves them alone completely now.

Miraculous! This make a barstool seat impervious to stains and water - who would have know? Unfortunately, the width is small for most applications and there is no way to butt the edges up because the fabric automatically at the junction. I will find many more projects to use this in.
