Simpler Is Better

I bought one of these for my lady friend three years ago. I also bought one for myself. Since then I have spent $$$ on several other types. One magnetic type required the base being stuck to my dash board with an adhesive backing. It fell off. Another magnetic holder required a metal piece in the case of my phone. That only works if you use a thinner case so the magnet works. Another kind has a little plastic lip that hangs onto the vent slat. The little lip broke off. Meanwhile the very first ones of this type that I got for my lady and myself 3 years ago still work. So I bought two more for my other two cars. Sometime simpler (and cheaper) is better.
