Professional Mechanic's Review: Unbeatable Value

I own and operate a mobile bike repair business (Swift Fix Bike Life on youtube) and bought this bike to test if a $598 mountain bike can actually handle real trails. The answer is yes. The Good: You cannot find these specs on a bike shop bike for under $1,000. The air fork actually works (it's not just a pogo stick), the dropper post is a game-changer for new riders, and the 1x drivetrain with a clutch derailleur keeps the chain on. I took this up a 1,000ft climb in a snowstorm and it handled everything I threw at it. If you are thinking about getting into mountain biking, this is the best value you can possibly get. The Bad (Tubeless Warning): The rims are advertised as tubeless compatible, but in my experience, they are finicky. I taped them up to convert them, but the rims are quite narrow and the bead didn't want to seat easily. It is technically possible, but it's going to be a headache. I recommend just running tubes or upgrading the wheelset later if you get serious. Verdict: Don't let the "Walmart" label scare you. This is a legitimate mountain bike that gets you out on the trails without emptying your bank account. Highly recommended.

The ABCs - GREAT BIKE @ GREAT PRICE

The only negatives about this bike are: A-the web site item description, B-no shock pump included C- no iscg mount. Yes, it's "entry-level / budget", whatever that means, but is everything people asked for, at half the price. The weight was 33.5 lbs, tapered head tube has tapered air fork and even sealed cartridge bearings. Shifting is smooth %26 crisp, with great range, the brakes work and comes with 125mm dropper post, out of the box. AND, external, sealed bearing bottom bracket with hollow cranks. Grips, pedals, seat are functional but everyone changes those anyway, no matter what bike. Wheels %26 tires might be heavy but work well, especially for the "target market", with legit Boost TA, thru axles, front and rear. Going tubeless might save half a pound LOL. I have two OTR M.2, 27.5 %26 29er, now this and an FS.3, as soon as they're back in stock (hint, hint). These are great bikes at great price, the elite snobs will always hate because they overpaid. Just get you one (or more;) and ride your legs off!

Great bike for an unbeatable price!

Ordered yesterday and received it today morning! Was able to take it to the trail and try it out. I am not a very experienced MTB rider but know enough to tell the difference. The air shock, dropper post, hydraulic brakes, thru-axle with boost, better groupset, crankset, all make for a very compelling product. If you were to buy the regular model and try to upgrade by yourself, which I was trying to do earlier, it doesn't make sense but to buy this model. Super happy with how it handles, had a blast on the trail today. Was able to ride it right out of the box, have heard about assembly issues typically but this unit came well assembled, didn't have to torque anything. Would highly recommend.
