not for martial arts

I purchased this cup and supporter because it was on clearance. It was a bit tight inside the cup. However the youth sizes were to big so I decided to just use the junior cup. I found out it don't offer much protection from a kick. While sparring in Karate, I took a kick in the groin and it hurt bad. I'm 18 and the cup didn't feel like it helped any.
