its just ok...nothing special

mattress sold separately..but its quite comfortable. the frame will break though..had mine less than year and half and can't prop completely upright. DONT buy from Kmart!!! not sure of Walmart any different because its made by Serta..i expected much more...not good for people over 180lbs...

Shoddy equipment; nearly impossible to assemble

For the amount of money we paid for this futon frame (not even a mattress included), one would think it would be made of at least decent quality materials. This was not the case. The instructions, for one thing, looked as if they were copied out of an instructional manual from 1995 and clumsily stapled together. Many of the metal pieces were bent, which made it extremely difficult to attach certain parts. Unless you have inhuman strength, you can count on needing at least two people to try and force pieces together. We ended up having to sort of create our own rules for how things should be assembled. The entire assembly process took over two hours with three people working together. And with only one allen wrench and a tiny wrench that didn't fit the bolts, we had to search for our own tools that would make it work. Everything was practically forced together. Frankly, I'm a little concerned about having people sit on this piece of cheap furniture, as it seems like it will fall apart with any weight. Overall, I would not recommend this futon frame to anyone, unless you're willing to risk your mental and emotional health.
