This was a gift for my 17yr old. It covers basic manga drawing techniques without being juvenile, while addressing advanced lessons on backgrounds, inking, sequencing and layout options. It is very practical. 30 drawing lessons, Ch1 Heads & Faces, Ch2 Proportions & Poses, Ch 3 Setting the Scene. Features 101 eyes, 50 ways to draw hands, 40 hairstyles, 12 common facial expressions, plus 30 classic poses. There is a "kissing"section, but no naked figures. My daughter is not a beginner, but found this book very helpful. Great resource!

I will never understand the anime fascination but regardless my little sister loves art and loves drawing in this form. This was much bigger and better in quality than I expected. She really liked it and her drawings are already improving.
