Perfectly Fine Paddle

Got this paddle to replace my SLK Evo Hybridmax when it seemed like I was getting too many dead spots after two years. I had been happy with it though and this one had the right price. I like this paddle-it's a bit lighter and has a much rougher surface (have not tried the spin capability) but I was able to pick it up and play with no getting used to it. I like that it's not boring and bland black and it has my initial on it too :)

Nicely balanced

Since starting pickleball nearly 3 years ago, I've always used a power paddle, with my preferred Project 005 no longer in production. I decided to demo this paddle since I wanted a bit more control. This is a terrific paddle — it gives some the control I was looking for, and I can still generate the power I need. Made the decision to play a tournament using the paddle since I felt confident with it and won my mixed division.

After playing that paddle for about the last 10 years, or so, I noticed right away the surface has more texture and the handle is a bit longer. Not sure about the core. I immediately added some lead on the sides. Tried it and took a little tape off. I am pretty happy with it now, but still adjusting.
