Good product, great alternative to fiberglass
For covering my hot water heater this is the best choice because it is so much cleaner and easier to cut than fiberglass. Not difficult to use, and there was plenty of tape in the package. One suggestion; cut the tape in smaller pieces and be gentle with it - the first piece I cut was too long, I took off the paper backing and it curled on itself, only got to use half the piece. My fault not the product's fault. The only problem is it does not fit the water tanks as it says, but none of them do, I don't know what kind of water tanks manufacturers measure, but all these blankets are the same size and none of them fit the tanks. I had to use 2 blankets, I used one entire blanket and cut the second one in order to cover the whole tank.

Make sure your water heater needs a blanket
The Duck Brand Water Heater Insulation Blanket is a good quality, non-fiberglass product that fits a 40-gallon water heater well (the 40-gal. tank in the picture is 63" in circumference and 47" tall). Just be sure to read about water heater insulation blanket on the Internet first. They can be helpful for older heaters, but newer water heaters have internal foam insulation, so a blanket won't increase their heat retention.

Internet said you don't need to install this insulation blanket if your water heater is younger than 10 years old. I touched my water heater outside is warm and my water heater is younger than 10 years old and it is in the garage; I decide to put this blanket on water heater since the water heater is warm outside. I feel the water is a little bit warmer compare to without the blanket. Hopefully, this will save a little bit energy bill to recover the blanket cost.
