(3 pack) Singer Self-Threading Hand Needle Compact-Assorted 15/Pkg

This is my second purchase of this item. The last was about eight years ago. The needles are pretty durable but eventually fail. The eye is open at the top and accessed through a v shaped slot between the two posts that are the actual sides of the eye. The posts are flexible and close after the thread has passed through. For persons like myself who otherwise have to use a student lamp with a built in magnifying glass to thread a needle they are a huge time saver. Over the years the posts gradually lose their elasticity and the thread may pull out at awkward places in your project but I figure that eight years of service for a piece of equipment that costs less than five dollars is a pretty good investment. Besides I'm 87 years old and unlikely to outlive them.

These needles are amazing! Easily threaded when eyesight and arthritic fingers make traditional threading nearly impossible.
