The item includes the spinner and the backplate to which the props are attached. The backplate design is excellent for holding each of the 3 props inplace. The backplate is the weak point of failure if you have a noseover or prop strike of some sort. It saves the motor and prop adapter from damage which would be more expensive. That's a good design. I hate to break them, but you will and don't go cheap, cause a cracked one will fail. Do NOT OVERTIGHTEN the props or they may crack! Replace these if they are cracked or making unusual noises. Usually only the backplate is damaged, not the spinner. A shortcoming of the item is that only the backplate should be made available too for purchase. Also the item is not available in colors. That would be nice to change out the livery with different color spinners. I know they can be painted but if they were in colors, you wouldn't have to go to the trouble. This is an "GOTTCH" item. I have not found a suitable alternative replacement for these. It's $10.99 for 2 items when you usually only need one, the backplate. Half price for only the part you need would be much more consumer & environmentally friendly. As a consumable, they should be available in bulk and cheaper.
