I've been wearing Mediven stockings in 15-20. This summer I was having problems with swelling in my ankles. So, my therapist suggested switching to 20-30. Wow! This made a real difference! You can buy cheaper compression socks, but save yourself some time and money. Cheap socks do NOT work! They are easier to get on, but you get little benefit from them.

Comfortable Compression Stockings

I've been wearing Mediven Sheer & Soft medical compression stockings in the “natural” shade for years and find them to be very comfortable. They fit well, wear well, and never slip down my leg. I also like the open toe style so that I can wear them with sandals and open toe shoes. They're natural looking, and I've been told by friends that they weren't even aware that I was wearing compression stockings.
