A TRUE Upgrade!

Upgrading my old, inexpensive subwoofer to the SVS 3000 Micro literally upgraded my entire setup! My listening room is 13' x 13' and my old sub was way too boomy. The 3000 Micro blended in so easily with my current 5.1.2 setup that my 20 year old Athena Audition Series speakers sound better than ever! This is a fantastic sounding sub for Music (very "musical"), Movies and Gaming. Instrument separation and clarity is amazing as well as the authoritative handling of strong bass moments like much larger subs!

Lots of support for an atypical application

Special thanks to Jeff Griffin, as he helped me find the right subwoofer. I really want to keep my old subwoofer for its aesthetics and how if fit with other speakers etc. I realized I could remove all the contents and keep a box with the back open. Thanks to Jeff he guided me to 3000 micro, which would fit inside, but had to be oriented properly. He was concerned it would be to small for my room, but it sounds great and provides enough bass. It may not be overwhelming, but it is more than good enough and my whole setup still looks great. Strongly recommend

Surprising output...

I was amazed at how small these were when unboxing them, but I was even more amazed at the output capabilities. I have a fairly nice-sized dedicated room, and a pair of these had my pants vibrating against my legs. They have an excellent and clean punch to them. Perfect for what I wanted to accomplish with this small two-channel system. And, of course, superb customer service to boot!
