A lot of times I suggest going with the lesser known or store brands, when it comes to BAKING MIXES I stick with the two big name brands, the taste and quality cannot be beat, now do not get me wrong, I still will buy and use the other brands depending on what or whom I am backing for. 200 cupcakes for the school bake sale, is NOT the same as my four-year-old Granddaughter's birthday. Two other suggestions, 1. DO NOT OVERBAKE, the instructions are based very specific equipment and ovens. Doubtful you are baking under the same conditions start checking it 5-10 minutes early and remove it the moment it is done! 2. Got suggestion from several online sources, want to kick up the flavor, instead of WATER and OIL, use MILK and SOFTENED BUTTER ...... YUM!

This is the best flavored yellow cake on the market. It never fails to rise and is moist, tender, dense and up to any topping. There are cheaper versions of yellow cake, but my experience is that they are dry, fail to fully rise and not enough flavor. The last BC cake I made was frosted with vanilla frosting, covered and kept in the fridge. The cake has stayed moist and has not developed that stale taste when left out at room temperature for a couple of days. This product is well worth the money. I just wish it was on sale often, as I would be a multiple mix purchaser.
